We want you to know that If you are experiencing fever, chest congestion, cough, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms, do not visit the office. Please contact us via phone (708-447-9402) and we will guide you through coronavirus screening questions. We will then take you through the next steps of the process.
People sometimes worry that visiting a doctor’s office during a mass infection might lead them to actually catch what’s going around— a completely understandable concern. We want you to know that HealthStop has a rigorous screening process in place that immediately isolates anyone presenting possible coronavirus symptoms.
Here’s what HealthStop is doing to keep you safe
- Giving every patient who comes in a face mask to limit the spread of germs
- Wiping down our waiting area several times an hour with disinfectants to limit the spread of surface bacteria
- We’ve posted a sign on our door informing anyone who has flu-like symptoms to immediately inform our check-in staff so they can be taken into an exam room right away
We realize what’s going on is pretty unnerving. But remember that coronavirus is already declining in parts of the world that have taken aggressive measures to fight it by practicing social distancing and good hygiene— especially frequently washing your hands with soap. Limit how often you go out, and avoid crowds as much as possible.
While we can administer COVID screening questions over the phone, we don’t have any COVID rapid tests in the office. Depending on your responses to the phone screening, we can refer you to the proper location for testing.
Patients 65 and older with chronic conditions should reschedule their routine visits until April or later.
